Overview
The AR25 is born from hours throughout years of riding the mountains of Western North Carolina. Pedaling, riding, suffering, dreaming, taking a vision and crafting it into a concept, forging it into a reality. We wanted a wheelset that would perform without question, laden with gear dripping with sweat turning circles into the endless miles of gravel, pavement, and single track that make up our passion. Our desire for adventure lead us to the AR25 and we think it's the perfect tool for your adventures too.
Aspire to more than pristine pavement with Industry Nine's AR25 TL Disc Road Wheelset and venture off the usual path to chunky chipseal, fire roads, and even the occasional cyclocross course. A wide, 21.5 internal rim width gives wider road tires and knobby 'cross tires a stable platform that lets the tire take a rounder shape than trying to mount wider tires on traditional narrow road rims. Paired with tubeless capability, this means you can run lower pressure for a plusher ride and confident grip in the turns no matter where the day's route takes you.
Tried-and-true aluminum construction ensures robust durability for all-road adventures, at a weight that competes with the AR25's pricier carbon contemporaries. Industry Nine's Torch hubs deliver near-instantaneous 3-degree engagement for easily powering up and over trail obstacles. This wheelset is available with a HG driver for Shimano/SRAM drivetrains with thru-axle combination of 12 x 100m front and 12 x 142mm rear or 15 x 100mm front and 12 x 142mm rear. It comes tubeless-ready, with pre-installed rim tape and Presta valves.
24 HOLE 2/1 LACING PATTERN
Found on all of our rear road wheels. This lacing pattern reduces wheel weight and promotes even spoke tensions, while maintaining excellent durability. Rear wheels feature 16 spokes on the rear drive side flange, paired with 8 opposing spokes. Due to the rear wheel dish caused by the cassette on the rear wheel, this orientation evens out spoke tension. It also reduces peak stress loads on the spokes and rim, as well as the fatigue cycle incurred in a traditional 24 spoke wheel - allowing a lower spoke count and lighter weight, without the durability issues and increased rim weights commonly associated with low spoke count wheels.
DRIVE MECHANISM
Rated to withstand 700 ft/lbs of torque! We reduced the pawl count to 3 instead of 6, for lower drag and weight, while still achieving industry leading (for road hubs) 6 degree engagement. Relocated bearings, and a new freehub seal reduce freehub drag while coasting.
Warranty
ALLOY PRODUCT WARRANTY
We offer a two-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship on all Industry Nine products. Industry Nine will repair or replace, at our discretion, any affected components or assemblies. The warranty will apply to stems, MatchStix, hub shells, axles, drive mechanisms, spokes, and rims.
The intended application of Industry Nine products are single rider bicycles. Industry Nine will not be able to provide warranty support or assume liability for hubs or wheels that are utilized outside of their intended purpose. This warranty covers materials and workmanship but does not cover normal wear and tear, such as bearing wear, or damage due to lack of proper service intervals.
Spokes will be warranted against defects, but not trail accidents, drivetrain/frame mechanical failure, or foreign object intrusion.
Aluminum rims are covered under the two-year warranty but are not warrantied for impact or crash damage. Use of non-authorized aftermarket adaptors and/or modification of axles, hubs, spokes or any other component may result in a voided warranty. Modification of rim finish or graphics by use of stripping solvents or chemicals will void rim warranty.
We believe in our product and will try to give Industry Nine customers the benefit of the doubt in any case where the cause of failure is undetermined.
