The MOS Lock, a sturdy stainless steel padlock, is specifically designed to be compatible with the MOS UpLift. The U-shaped insert fits directly into slots on the base plate to allow for secure locking of the MOS UpLift to the car's roof rack crossbars. Avoid storing your MOS Lock where it is exposed to sunlight, extreme or changing temperatures and
humidity.
This locking system is not theft-proof. It is your responsibility to park your vehicle in a secure location and store your products in a safe place when not in use.
Do not lubricate and do not use thinner or solvents as they may damage the MOS Lock.
When necessary, clean the dirt from your MOS Lock with fresh water and a soft cloth. If the dirt does not come off with fresh water, use only mild cleaners to ensure proper operation and increased safety, as well as to increase its durability. Never use abrasive cleaners, salt, lubricants, or any other product or liquid (other than water and mild cleaners) on the MOS Lock.
If you are using the MOS Lock in the winter, be sure to completely clear the snow, ice and calcium residues from your MOS Lock.
Perform regular inspection on the MOS Lock, the MOS UpLift, your roof rack, load carriers, and roof accessories to ensure that they are free of defects, breakage, or signs of wear. If you find any parts of the MOS Lock bent, worn, or damaged, stop using it immediately and replace the parts by contacting our customer service department by email at support@mosracks.com."
