RIDER OWNED & OPERATED
We sell what we ride.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
A true, active rider owned company. We ride, test and abuse the products we choose to sell you to ensure it meets our high standards. Both owners have raced for over 13 years in DH and Enduro PRO categories and have spent countless hours street, park and dirt jump riding.
Lama Cycles INC is a Distribution Company that was founded in 2006 by experienced downhill and street riders Benoit Labelle and Justin Macknish. Inspired by the energy that surrounds all cycling sports, the two founders set out to contribute to the growth of the movement.
The company's main objective is to provide fellow riders, athletes and sports enthusiasts with quality products that we believe in and proudly ride day after day.
The question “Why can't we get this bike over here? Or that part?” is most likely what started it all. Always looking for better products, we set out to import and test many different bikes, parts, and accessories to uncover the ones best suited for our Canadian needs.
Everything we distribute has been submitted to a trial year of thorough testing by ourselves, our company team riders and to a select number of independent test riders.
This is done for one simple reason: we stand behind products that we personally trust and believe in. The concept of product endorsement gives our customers peace of mind which allows them to ride with confidence.
Ben and Justin are now surrounded by a team that share the same values as them, all the employees are riders and passionate cyclists.
WHAT DRIVES US
We are rider owned and operated, that means that we have tested and we believe in every product we sell or distribute. We are cyclists, trail builders, gear geeks and all around passionate people. In this mindset, we strive to give the best service to all our customers. We love to aim for what we call: Under promise over deliver.
Justin is a true Enduro and DH rider, being as passionate as him would be a life goal for many MTB riders. He also rides his DJ and gravel bikes when his mountain bikes are waiting for new parts in the garage.
Ben, once a true DH rider, then everything changed the day he got struck by road fever. He now strives to reach his KM goals over the year either on road or gravel … that’s when he is not pumping iron in the gym.
Arnaud definitely rhymes with cardio! Gravel, Cyclocross, Road and Cross-country, when it’s time to feel the burn and taste the blood he is the guy to call. Always looking for the less beaten path, his ride partners never know what they are up to!
Bruno has more bikes than pairs of boxers. He is an Enduro/pumptrack passionate over the summer and a Zwift grinder over the winter.
Jean is defenitely our know it all guy... because yes he really knows it all! After being nation wide known street rider and bike mechanic for national teams and big bike brand he decided to bring is amazing knowledge and skills to the team.
If it has two wheels, Sarah's onboard. From gnarly trails to flowy-jumpy lines, there's always a new limit to push back. As a marketer, she believes her favorite motto "we can't improve what we can't measure" applies to biking too, so get your Strava on!

WE CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
We decided to take a major turn with remote working while meeting for a weekend of shredding once every 3 months. We are engaged in the trail network, we focus on giving back to the trail building community. Conserve an eco-friendly planet so we can ride.
We are working more and more with eco-friendly brands that share the same values as us.
